poly 80 glock 17

poly 80 glock 17

Poly 80 Glock 17 - I made a glock! I tweaked the frame a little and made a Glock key. I basically dremeled and sanded down some polymer until the slide and bottom components fit in. It's not that complicated, but I felt a lot more accomplished when I was firing reliably. The Polymer 80 is not considered a firearm when purchased. You can literally buy it on Amazon and have it delivered to your home. Some states have crazy laws about serializing guns they make, but most do not. The Polymer 80 frame isn't necessarily based on his real Glock frame, but it works with Glock parts. The Polymer 80 PF940V2 made some tweaks to the design.

In particular, the grip ergonomics have changed significantly. With no finger grooves, the polymer 80 frame has a 1911ish 18 degree grip angle compared to the standard Glock 22 degree. The gun is also equipped with a full-length Picatinny rail.

Poly 80 Glock 17

Poly 80 Glock 17

The rear of the frame also has a non-beavertail (but longer than the standard Glock frame). This is the standard full-size Glock 17 frame, but he also offers 26, 19, and hybrid frames with Glock 17 slides on Glock 19 grips. These frames are designed to work with Gen 3 parts.

Ghost Gun' Recovered After Nyc Shooting

I don't want to go too deep into the manufacturing and processing processes. Polymer 80 is very easy to mix, so I just used a dremel and a handgun drill. Of course, Polymer 80 provides the jigs and drill bits you need to finish your gun. I also used a small file to fit the slide to the frame.

I used a Gen 3 Glock 17 slide that looks like the Larry Vickers version of Overrun. This is his FDE and Sports Ameriglo site. The barrel is one I've had for quite some time and I don't know who made it. There is no stamp other than the caliber and model number. it was given to me. It has a stainless steel threaded barrel that fits and works effortlessly.

The gun uses genuine parts at the bottom except for the attached rail made of polymer 80. It uses an extended magazine release and an extended slide lock. Installing parts on the Glock is incredibly easy, even easier than the AR 15. To clarify, Polymer 80 is very simple and easy to manufacture.

Hitting range with the Polymer 80 was a hit or miss thing. The first time I go to the range, I come home with a breakdown, do a little sanding, and hit the range again. I've also read on some forums that the slide needs to be cycled hundreds of times for it to fire reliably. I certainly did during filing.

Polymer 80 Glock Build

I've always called the idea that new guns get in the way bullshit. It's 2019 and modern manufacturing must be precise. But I am by no means a modern maker. My gun needed a break, and I loaded three ETS 31-round magazines to compensate. After each magazine the gun got a little better. There were a lot of small failures on the way in and out.

The pattern now looks like this: I was very happy when the magazine became full volume for the first time. After that, the gun ran like a champ. It used to take him about 150 rounds to break in, but now it works reliably.

The gun was so accurate that the frame must have been too loose to fit the slide. The barrel features polygons to a conventional rifle, but it seems to work. is very good overall. My favorite little popper and he's been hitting steels out to 50 yards.

Poly 80 Glock 17

As a full-sized 9mm handgun of his, you don't expect much recoil and you don't get much. A small beavertail adds a bit of rear leverage to grip the gun and improve control. I already have a threaded barrel so I can throw the comp at full bore.

Duty Holsters For Polymer80 Frames

As I said before, there were some initial problems before things went smoothly. I don't take guns that I make myself seriously, but I like using them. It looks like you ran into some real reliability issues.

I also wanted to ensure magazine compatibility. What's the point of a Glock aspirant if he doesn't use Glock magazines for sure?I tested with his aforementioned ETS magazine, Magpul Glock magazine, KCI Glock magazine and of course his OEM magazine. They all run reliably and have no issues with inserts and ejects. The same is true when loading bullets into a gun.

Ergonomically, I really like this gun. The grip angle is great and the lack of finger grooves is a big issue for me. It's a wide grip, but I like it because I have big hands. The extended magazine release and slide lock are very nice. As with all Glocks, my fat thumb keeps the slide locked so it never locks when the weapon is unloaded.

The Polymer 80 has a deep notch under the trigger guard that allows the gun to be positioned higher for more control. Additionally, the magazine release has a nice relief cut, making it easier to reach than the standard Glock magazine release.

The Polymer 80 Review

Overall, I prefer the ergonomics of the Polymer 80 frame over the standard Glock. Even compared to the new Gen 5, I prefer the Polymer 80 frame. The grip angle is much better and feels more natural. This is subjective and understandable if you prefer standard grips.

One of the best features is the fact that Polymer 80 is a blank canvas. Glock has a huge aftermarket, where you can start from scratch and build any gun you want with triggers, controls, slides, sights and barrels.

The only downside I found is that the P80 doesn't fit some holsters of my classic Glock 17 of his, but others fit perfectly. This is definitely something you should research before purchasing a holster.

Poly 80 Glock 17

The Glock Gen 3 has a much wider range of aftermarket slides and seems to be the more popular slide option. The Polymer 80 PF940V2 is highly customizable to give you exactly the gun you want. This has been one of the most fun projects I've done in recent times and I can't wait to build another.

When talking about himself in the third person, he describes himself as a strategic hipster. Tell us your story ideas on Instagram (@travis.l.pike). Let's get out more and more. If you're reading this and how easy it is to make a Polymer 80 Glock, answer now. Yes, it is. It's very easy and I think anyone can do it. Polymer 80 Glocks are very easy to make and the 80 I'm reviewing right now was made with Bottom His Jig, Dremel, and Hand His Drill. It took me a few hours and a bit of polishing, but now it runs like a champ. If you're stuck, take the plunge.

Now that we've got some fence sitters out of the way, let's go ahead and talk about the Polymer 80 Glock I built and do a quick review. Full size model with 35, 31 and 17L slides. Most of us are probably building a Glock 17 or 34. I went at 17. Now on sale at Rocky Brass!

The Polymer 80 Glock uses a very common and easy to find Gen 3 part. We used Larry Vickers special edition, his Glock 17 slide, Bear Creek Arsenal barrel and Glock OEM lower parts kit. The Glock kit included an extended magazine release and slide lock.

Polymer80 Pf940c Assembly

We found the Poly 80 frame to be superior to his Glock OEM frame in many ways. No finger grooves, which is great. Using his 19-degree grip angle from 1911 versus his 22-degree grip on the Glock. This is more comfortable and natural for me. The rail is a true Picatinny rail versus Glock's quirky rail system. behind

Police Glocks - The Glock Model 48 Slimline 9mm is a modern combat pistol with a small grip frame that any hand can handle.

Five years ago I reviewed the Glock 43, the second pistol in Glock's "Slimline" series of pistols. 43 chambered in 9x19, along with its immediate predecessor, the .380 Model 42, were not the first Glock pistols to achieve a smaller grip frame while using a single-stack magazine. Chambered in the venerable .45 ACP, Glock's smallest pistol, the G36, was the company's first single-stock design.

Police Glocks

According to our factory representative at the time, Craig Turner, the Model 36 came about because of a phone call I made in 1999. We had just completed a comprehensive pistol test for the Illinois State Police (ISP) that resulted in the selection of the Glock 22 as the agency's new sidearm. During the process, I successfully argued that ISP should upgrade to the 9mm cartridge they had been using since 1967. Since so many of their shootings involved vehicles on the road, I convinced the director that the .40 S&W load would penetrate the car better. glass and body metal. As an old Marine, the director asked why a .45 handgun wouldn't do an even better job.

Police Play Set (mp5k + Glock 17) Product

The Glock Model 48 9mm pistol is almost exactly the same size as a 1911 Commander size pistol and is even ¼ inch thinner through the grip. (Photo/Dick Fairburn)

When I handed him a Glock 21 in .45 ACP, he immediately realized that our smaller soldiers could never handle a frame with a large grip. The director told me to call Glock and tell them we wanted 2,400 single-piece .45 ACP pistols. When I laughed he told me quite sternly that an explanation was an order... go make a call.

So I called Craig Turner with a request for a .45 pistol suitable for all hand sizes. Craig happened to be at a bell factory in Georgia meeting with Mr. Bell himself. Craig came back on the line a few minutes later and said that Mr. Bell had no plans to build a one-piece pistol, but if we bought a Model 22 and he ever built a one-piece in .45 he would trade us in for a new one. one. One directly opposite. We all had a bit of a laugh, the ISP bought 22 and still wears them today.

About a year later, Craig called me and invited me to the next SHOT Show. He said I would see a new bell gun that would interest me. It was a Glock model 36 pistol, one .45 caliber magazine, but a concealed carry size pistol, not a service weapon. Craig told me that my phone call asking for a smaller .45 frame pistol planted the seed that became Glock's first one piece pistol.

Best Guns For Police (glock And Sig Sauer Made The List)

So when the 42 and 43 hit the market, I thought they were great concealed carry pistols, but I was still looking for a stylish pistol that small caps could more effectively use as a service pistol. In fact, I printed the following letter as a sidebar to my Model 43 review in 2015:

I just reviewed your new Model 43 Slimline 9x19 pistol and loved it (and bought it). As a 37-year veteran police firearms trainer, I have seen my profession go from 99% revolvers to 99.9% self-loading pistols. During those years we had one boss in common. Cops with small hands wrestle with service-sized pistols. These revolvers often came with large wooden target style grips, and we had to make them smaller or go for "Magna" style grips that were too small. When semi-auto took off, most agencies chose high-capacity 9mm or .40 models with double magazines and wide frames. The grip frames of the .45 semi-auto variants are even larger. The most common single-chambered semi-auto, the 1911 series, had to be carried cocked and locked, making uninformed handlers nervous.

With enough practice and determination, almost anyone can handle a Glock 9mm or .40 S&W utility pistol. However, for many "small" officers, their performance is marginal, and a smaller grip frame would be a godsend.

Police Glocks

Please, please, Mr. Bell, let Santa bring us a single-stock slimline version of your full-size Model 17 and 22 pistols (and 21 too, for that matter). Then we'll see officers with sub-par hands improve their marksmanship, weapon handling skills, and most importantly, their confidence.

Police Officers To Be Armed With Glocks

A year ago, Glock added the Model 48 to its lineup, the first sidearm service-sized slide-action pistol. I picked one up at the ILEETA conference that year and felt good, but my duties as Director of Public Safety left me with little free time and then COVID-19 shortened my range even more. However, about a month ago I won a pistol at the annual Friends of the NRA Banquet and it was a 48! Blue dial in all black, unlike the silver lensed version of the original 48s.

48 does not exactly correlate with 9mm/.40 pistols. With a barrel length of 4.17 inches, it is just a touch longer than the Model 19, which includes a 15-round magazine. Important measurements show that the 10-shot 48 is about 1/8

An inch less trigger distance (backstrap to trigger face) and about ¼ inch less grip thickness than the 19 for 15 shots. These two size reductions make the 48 much slimmer and the trigger "reach" is significantly shorter in the shooter's hand. This means that smaller hands with shorter fingers can grip the pistol normally and comfortably reach the trigger.

When I started, when we all wore revolver loading caps and muzzles, range officers bluntly informed the trainee that if they weren't "man enough" to hold their gun properly, they weren't "man enough" to be a cap. Find another job.

Illegal 'glock Switches' Are On The Rise, And They're Scaring Houston Cops

Even 40 years ago, when I first trained female officers, they had trouble picking up a .38 or .357 revolver with the large target stocks that are often standard. I had a few female officers test my Colt Lightweight Commander, chambered for .45 ACP, and quickly learned that the problem wasn't too much waste, but too much drop.

In 1967, the Illinois State Police became the first major U.S. police force to police the state. it. The police agency will accept a Smith & Wesson Model 39 autoloading pistol with a single 9mm magazine. When the agency first started hiring female officers, the Model 39 suited them and most shot very well. When the ISP upgraded to the S&W Model 59, a double-barreled pistol with nearly double the number of rounds, female officers (as well as small officers) began to have problems on the range.

I have small hands, but when I have to I can carry a large handle frame. I went through the original three day Glock transition school shooting the Model 20 with a full load of 10mm ammo. It wasn't easy, but I did it. As I enter my final year of active law enforcement, I can carry the pistol that has always suited me best, an old Colt Lightweight Commander (made in 1956, just a year younger than me). But the heyday of the 1911 design is probably over. Pistols with polymer frames and strikers fill almost any police holster and probably will until we get a Star Trek phaser. Then we can "de-escalate" them by using them in the stun setup.

Suspects Arrested In Stolen Car, Stolen Glock Found

48 is still not an ideal weapon for officers who fight with double-barreled pistols. It should have a short section of Picatinny rail in the front of the dust cover to mount a light and double chamber the .40 S&W cartridge. Apologies to the bullet geeks, despite your claims that the 9mm is "just as good" as the larger calibers, look at how they perform when you hit the glass and metal of the body. Starting with a larger bullet deals more terminal damage to the target after passing through the light shield. 48 is already available in a MOS version with the rear of the slide ready for optical sights, which I predict will become more and more common in service handguns.

The machined steel sights are very robust. The front profile of the blade allows you to hang the scope on something sturdy for one-handed slide manipulation. (Photo/Dick Fairburn)

The first thing I did with my new Glock 48 was take it to my old friend Richard Heinie's shop where he installed a set of his Ledge Straight-8 night sights. I have Dick's sights on all my serious pistols because they are super strong machined steel (no more flimsy plastic), are super smooth and snag free for concealed carry, and include Trijicon tritium night inserts.

The "Ledge" variant of his sights is intended for a military unit that requires a large straight face on the sight blade robust enough to allow one-handed breech manipulation. Unlike most night sights that use the familiar three-point pattern of luminous inserts, the Heinie puts a single tube inside

This strap is specially designed to carry things that you cannot expose. Most wallet cases hold the gun head. This bolt uses a bolt to lock the gun when the bolt cover is closed. It also maintains a uniform thickness, ensuring that the gun does not print. The right-hand model is designed to fit in your left pocket. To fire, take the trigger from your pocket in your left hand while the holster is closed, open the holster, and rotate the gun in your right hand. It's not as fast as wallet clips that you can pull straight out, but if you're worried about gun sight, you can't use these clips at all. Wallets that hold guns and one-shots are a nice feature for many, but they also fall off the side. It is also not legal in all states. Obviously, this shirt is not the best choice if your primary concern is armed robbery, where you need a shirt that you can pull off straight away. This button is used in places where privacy is a priority. This will ensure that you have something instead of nothing if something bad happens and your right of defense is not respected as it should be. Since you have to remove the gun from the holster to fire, this brand also doesn't come with any legal holsters. Together, no matter what your situation is.

Note: The gun will not be in place. The gun "rests" in the jacket and is only secured when the shutter is closed. This allows the bolt to be released and the gun to be fired quickly into the firing arm. The leather is tough for durability so the sleeve doesn't hang in the hand and cause the gun to sink, and take time to break in. If you find that the item does not work for you, the shirt can be returned, but do not mark the cause of the defect unless there is a real defect, how such clothes are made.

I have been using this button since I received it. It does exactly what it was designed to do. This is a deep hidden part of the box and it works really well. The skin is very tight but it does well in the shot and the break in time is not long. I recommend it to anyone who needs deep, extraordinary growth that doesn't have the usual "print". All to the highest standards with meticulous attention to detail and workmanship. Good luck sir... Good luck!

Got this for my Rowdy 410/45LC...fits perfectly and great for hiding pockets. Some extended rose bushes are also attached. The handle extends beyond the skin, but less than an inch. Not enough to affect total privacy. Highly recommended!

First, I bought it for my KelTec P3AT (.380). At first I was very careful to put it on the shirt as everyone would when the head piece was close to the trigger. This is new to me. After a few taps and recoats I was very confident in the design and safety. It is well engineered to avoid shock in the tank. This is a true "stealth deep" shirt. I've been using a Desantis pocket on my back pocket for the last 10+ years but the pew pew back pocket is always visible and not all pants have deep back pockets. It feels comfortable to sit on, despite its tough leather design. My saddle fits perfectly and comes off quickly when I open the screen. It takes some practice to feel comfortable with the design but so does everything else. Status: It's great!!

Fast shipping! I am very pleased with the quality of this shirt. It is strong and very good. Very happy with my purchase. Couldn't recommend more. thanks a lot!!!

polishing glock internals

polishing glock internals

Polishing Glock Internals - I had a 17 gen 4 for several months. I found some videos, on youtube, that suggest polishing some internals. I think some videos have called this DIY trigger work. It looks like the recommended nail polish is the Flitz brand.

Not sure if it's worth it or not or if there's something I should be aware of. I thought I'd ask you all for some feedback before I do anything.

Polished All The Internal Parts. What Do Y'all Think?

The "25 cent trigger job" as we call it is worth doing in my opinion. The trigger will feel smoother right away, but don't wait any longer. You can get the same effect by firing a weapon for a while, though I dare not guess how long. Why? Because I put a 25 cent trigger job on every new one myself, right away.

Flitz will work, as will Happich Simichrome. You can even get away with car cleaning polish. There aren't many other tricks for practicing self-control. The mirror finish is absolutely possible, but I usually stop when I get something nice and shiny. Remember, you are polishing the nickel plating that is applied to the copper plating, over the steel of the part. Do not exaggerate.

I use a rotary tool (like a Dremel) with the felt plumb, with a little polish applied to the plumb. Remember, the goal is to polish the parts, not remove any material.

I don't know if it was caused by my polishing or not, but I started to notice a little bit of what looks like a coating on the end of the trigger bar inside the bird's beak. I put a few hundred rounds into this G23 G3. I'm also starting to feel like it's doubling the range twice. Anyway, I replaced the trigger bar. That worries me. This is my EDC and I haven't polished the new trigger bar yet.

Apex Offers Ultimate Safety Plunger For Large Frame Glock Pistols

I followed Chris' advice and am happy with the results. Just don't go too far. The goal is to make the pieces slide without bumping or snagging. Don't overdo the oil part either. s does not like a lot of oil.

Haysmclean said: I don't know if it was caused by my polishing or not, but I started to notice some what looks like coating coming off the end of the trigger bar inside the bird's beak. I think the normal user will also accomplish the same thing at a very high round count.

Folding is serious business. The contact between the raised part of the rear of the trigger bar, often called "cruciform" because it looks like a cross, comes into contact with the striker's nose and performs the locking function. Proper trigger bar and firing pin engagement is critical to safety, which means ensuring that a single pull of the trigger produces a single shot.

Polishing Glock Internals

If you rub crosswise, it increases the possibility of bending because it reduces the desired friction. If you polish the attacker's own nose, I think you increase the odds a bit more. And if you stone or cruciform sand with the idea that you can produce a "dry" break of the trigger, the chances increase even more that the weapon will double.

Cz P 07 Spring/trigger Kits And Internals Polished

Not saying you did it Hays, just wanted to point out a potential problem here so the OP can avoid glossing over this part.

There are some videos that recommend the stone firing pin. This might not be a good idea.

BallSweater said: Thanks for your reply and great pictures. I will try this later this afternoon. Click to expand... You're welcome. Here are some detailed photos that will help:

In this photo, you can see that the Connector sticks out in one corner of the Box's Trigger Mechanism (sort of a triangle-shaped plastic thing).

Nbs For Glock 19 Lower Parts Kit

It should be at an angle, forming a gap, so resist the urge to "fix" it by bending it to a nice 90° angle. If you do, the Trigger will not reset correctly. How do I know this? Because I made that mistake.

Haysmclean said: There are some videos that recommend the stone firing pin. It's probably not a good idea for Hays Klik to expand... For basic 25 cent trigger work, I agree.

Some people post articles that offer advanced techniques, entering the realm of actual experimentation. While I don't doubt that some progress or improvements can be made by working on the Striker's cruciform and nose, it will likely come at the cost of a box of ruined parts and questionable (or unsafe) functions. Personally, I don't bother with these parts because I don't like messing with parts and I like safe weapons.

Polishing Glock Internals

A drop of oil on the connector will do the same thing and you don't need to rub anything. And no, it won't get your G stuck.

Highly Detailed Glock 17 Gen5 9mm Pistol Vector

The point where the connector and trigger bar slide together is the recommended lubrication point. Hopefully polishing will make it slide more smoothly. I treat mine with frog lube regularly. Remove connector from plastic trigger mechanism housing before heating. I won't admit how I know how to do this!

Haysmclean said: I won't admit how I know how to do this! Click to expand... Come on, sounds like a good story!

I also use FrogLube, but I only use the sun for warmth. A strip laid out on the deck can get quite hot on a sunny day without risking the polymer.

Simple story, I heated the trigger bar and the mechanical plastic trigger housing is still stuck. That plastic melts and warps! Trigger spring does not fit in groove! If you can buy parts at the convenience store around the corner, it shouldn't be a problem. Next stop, mail order brownells.

Shadow Systems Mr920 Review: The Best Glock Clone For Your Money?

I just put the Ghost Ranger connector on, polished the safety pin a bit and used Frog Lube and all my s are smooth as hell with what I think is a perfect trigger for 4.5lbs.

I haven't visited this site in a while. Coincidentally, I just bought a Gen 3 G19 that I've wanted for a long time. I thought I was waiting for the FTF cash settlement, but I ended up buying a new location.

I did trigger polish which I always do on my new ones or new ones for me. I also replaced the factory connector with an aftermarket connector, as none of the factory connectors were to my liking. I polish everything that was mentioned in this thread. Unless you're really clumsy, it's nearly impossible to get a lot of metal off when buffing the mating surfaces with something really fine like Simichrone, Dremel on the lowest speed, and soft white buffing pad that sticks to the mandrel with a screw.

Polishing Glock Internals

I rubbed the underwear of dozens of s. Never acted crazy yet. I wouldn't spend my time polishing if I didn't also polish the engagement surface.

40mm Glock - Key point: The .40 was developed to give law enforcement a more powerful gun than the 9mm to begin with.

Times are always changing, and that certainly applies to the world of firearms. The current trend we are seeing today is the revival of the 9mm at the expense of the .40 S&W.

40mm Glock

40mm Glock

For example, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently switched from the .40 S&W to the 9mm Luger, switching specifically from the Glock 22 and 23 to the Glock 17 and 19. The United States military is strongly considering the switch. 40, but ultimately stuck with the 9mm when they chose the SIG Sauer M17 as their new service weapon. And police departments across the country are selling their .40 caliber handguns in 9mm.

Glock G22 Gen5 .40s&w 4.49in 15rds Black Fixed Sights

It's not hard to see why. Even though the 9mm FMJ is a relatively weak round, today there are a number of good point-hole safeties that are popular with the public and law enforcement. As a result, the need for the .40 was greatly reduced, and in addition, the 9mm pistol held more ammunition and was much lighter.

See, the whole reason the .40 was developed was to give law enforcement a more powerful gun than the 9mm. Well, .45 ACP isn't, but .45 pistols are also limited in capacity. That's why the 10mm was developed, but when the recoil produced from the round was too much for some, it was narrowed down to the .40 S&W we have today.

The .40 S&W has worked well for many years and will continue to do so for many more to come, but as just discussed, going to a round that stops the power possible has increased dramatically and in a lighter and more manageable package which is why I've seen the .40 rifle start to be replaced by the 9mm .

But at the same time, this move away from .40 means that there are now plenty of surplus .40 caliber pistols on the market, many of which are available at below average prices. And just because the .40 caliber itself isn't as popular as it used to be doesn't mean it's not a good choice for self-defense.

Stl File Glock Front Grip

In fact, the .40 is the third most popular caliber today, behind the 9mm and the .45 ACP, and it's still very easy to find. For these reasons, the .40 caliber pistol remains the most effective option for self-defense or home defense, and again, the abundance of surplus guns and police trades means that many of them are available at budget prices.

What makes the Beretta Px4 Storm an awesome .40 option is its capacity: 14+1 rounds in the full version and 12+1 in the Compact model, which is the same kind of capacity you'd expect. 9mm gun.

The Px4 also deserves a place on this list because the round barrel design helps reduce the extra recoil produced by the heavy .40 caliber round. The gun is also safe to carry thanks to the double action trigger pull and its manual slide safety, which also functions as a decocking lever like the Beretta 92 series.

The Px4 also has an ML-STD 1913 Picatinny Rail and rear gun straps for various hand sizes.

Review] Glock 23: The Compact .40 S&w

Want to know which .40 pistol holds more bullets than the Beretta Px4 Storm Compact? This is the most famous pistol ever made: the Glock 22, which boasts a 15+1 round.

The Glock 22 has been mounted in the holsters of more current law enforcement officers in the United States than any other handgun currently available, which is a huge claim to fame. The Gen 5 version has just been released, with many improved features such as different ergonomics and a well-fired mag to make reloading easier.

Basically, the Glock 22 is identical to the Glock 17 in terms of dimensions, only it is chambered for .40 instead of 9mm. A small variation of the Glock 22 in .40 is called the Glock 23, which holds 13+1 bullets and is the same size as the Glock 19.

The Heckler & Koch USP is a pistol designed entirely around the .40 caliber. This is in direct contrast to many other pistols on the market chambered in .40 that are built on the 9mm platform.

Since .40 caliber is a high pressure round, this means that 9mm frames chambered in .40 will have a shorter service life than 9mm. But since the HK USP is built around .40 caliber, it can handle a few thousand extra rounds before needing to replace parts.

Furthermore, the HK USP is a full size pistol that holds 13 + 1 rounds of .40 in the magazine. The Compact variant, about the size of a Glock 19 and easier to conceal, holds 12+1 rounds.

The USP is a double action single action pistol with a frame mounted safety and decocking lever. The safety can be done without holstering the handgun, so the revolver can be carried cocked and locked like a 1911, and make your first shot a nice, single-action pull.

40mm Glock

There are currently many surplus and law enforcement trades in SIG Sauer P226 and P229 pistols in .40 S&W floating on the market for only $300 to $400, which represents a truly incredible value. These guns may be well worn on the outside, but the inside has barely been fired and is in very good condition.

What's The Difference Between Glock Pistols?

Whether you're looking for a used or new SIG, you're sure to find a quality pistol wherever you go. Both the P226 and P229 hold 12+1 rounds with a factory magazine, while aftermarket Mec-Gar magazines will increase this capacity to 13 or 14 rounds.

The P226 and P229 are double action pistols without manual safety. But there were also versions of them, popular with law enforcement, that only had a simple double pull. These are called DAK pistols, and are one of the most popular surplus options available at the budget price point.

Like the HK USP, the Smith & Wesson M&P is also built on a .40 caliber frame, which should provide a longer service life than other .40 pistols.

The full size M&P pistol holds 15 + 1 rounds when chambered in .40, providing the same firepower as a Glock 22. The Compact 2.0 model holds 13 + 1 rounds, and is slightly smaller for concealed carry purposes.

Glock 17 Magazine, 9mm, 24 Rds

The M&P has proven to be a reliable shooter, and has found its way into the pockets of law enforcement officers across the United States. The 2.0 M&Ps also have a noticeably aggressive grip, which is becoming a big trend in the pistol world today.

Walther pistols such as the P99 and PPQ are known to be some of the most ergonomic pistols on the market today. The P99 itself is a very special offer. Despite being a striker fired pistol, it is a double action/single action pistol with a decocking lever.

The PPQ is the ultimate in auto assault as it has a very light trigger and only one worm, which is widely regarded as one of the best triggers of any pistol money can buy today.

40mm Glock

The P99 and PPQ also hold 11+1 or 12+1 rounds of .40, depending on the magazine you get. Another thing to keep in mind is that they can be quite fast when chambered in the .40 round, so you need to be prepared for that and get plenty of practice to handle the recoil properly.

Deer-legal in my case. huh? Glock 23 is legal in my country. .40 S&W shot with a minimum 4-inch barrel is considered deer medicine where I live. Add the ability to shoot a .40 from a carbine, and the joy increases with each additional foot-pound of power you get from that long barrel.

Why do you mention that you can swing a deer with a .40 S&W around these parts? Because the spin is powerful in itself. The peak of its use in law enforcement may have been a few years ago, but that doesn't take away the light from the pumpkin.

It's still a good deterrent and (in my country's deer terms) a good deer deterrent. Most law enforcement agencies use (or used to use) the .40 S&W, especially the FBI, for a while before switching to the 9mm. It fell to the ground, but the .40 S&W still runs

45 glock 21

45 glock 21

45 Glock 21 - So, without being too much of a fanboy, I started researching my first firearm in the Springfield XD service model. But when I showed up at Gunstore I realized there were so many options. I got the OD Gen 3 G21 and I love it, but I haven't bought it yet. My first pistol (simply the first of three by signature, the other two being the G17 and G22 3rd gen) came in this old non-SF 3rd gen pistol in a black case. Dryfire quickly confirmed that tungsten guide rods were to my taste, and at the time Sig either didn't offer enough or wasn't cheap enough. After 2.5k rds it remains my favorite pistol, possibly my favorite weapon. For me, the simpler, less luxurious, straight design or more scaled models have always been the reason I chose and continue to choose Glock. The tungsten rod distributes the light magazine load and makes the drill more stable.

It's not getting any better for me. It is my opinion that the Glock 21 is the ultimate .45. It's a little overbuilt (the same frame as a Glock 20 at 10mm), but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The extra meat means you can pack a full house all day. Length isn't necessarily an issue for concealed carry, and with a proper holster system you can carry it all day without too much discomfort. trust me. I have and it's not that big of a problem. The smaller the .45, the faster the gun will shoot and the more accurate and stable it will be. Anything bigger becomes a problem for concealed carry, at least for me. I'm thinking of buying another one with my next paycheck. And after 27 years of conceal and carry, the .45 is still the best stopper and the Glock is still the best pistol system I can think of. It is a very valuable investment for defensive transmission. Hope this helps.

45 Glock 21

45 Glock 21

I just bought my second Glock 21. This gun is much more portable than you might expect. It weighs less than the 1911 and can hold more ammunition. It can be easily concealed with a suitable holster. This is serious food for thought. The smaller the pistol, the higher the jump. This creates control issues that can be solved with larger guns that can reduce recoil and aid accuracy. Hope this helps.

Glock 21 Gen 4 Disruptive Grey Pistol 13 Round

After carrying around 21 every day for weeks, I realized that this is not a problem that many people are talking about. At 28.26 ounces, it is about 11 ounces lighter than a full-size 1911 and about 8 ounces lighter than a Commander. It also carries more ammunition. I bought a belt holster for this and with a good belt I don't feel it tugging or pulling and I don't have to fasten my pants all day. It's a great pistol, but it's well balanced, and the modular grip extension fills my hand nicely. Also, again, it's a bit overbuilt (20-equivalent frame in 10mm), but it's not too bad when you know you can chew and spit +p ammo with no problem.

That's why 21 as a concealed carry gun, it's not bad at all. Get a good holster and belt. Hope this helps.

I have had my Glock 21 for 3 years and put 1,300 rounds through it with no problems. It has a tungsten guide rod assembly, a machined slide stop lever, and a clip that clips onto your waist belt. I have a Colt 1911 and it is a good shooter, but the Glock is my favorite. It disassembles much easier than the 1911. But be careful when one thing in your room. I put my finger on the trigger once while belting it out and it would have ripped my butt off if I had been in the room. I practice taking it out and am confident in my ability to quickly put it back in.

Worth every penny, don't regret buying it, but it's a glock. I need another word. I love that people knock on the Glock and spend another 400 when the Glock beats top dollar every time. This 45 is perfect and it does the same. every time

Glock 21 .45

You can easily hide it. I hide a carry mine with a Viridian laser and a +2 pierce extension. KT Mihow and Dara make great holsters and they also make stealth gear. Stealth gear is great in a pants holster.

I bought my Glock 21sf about a year ago and put a lot of rounds through it. I love this gun and highly recommend it! This gun will not fail or stop. Currently my daily haul.

Great gun with very little recoil. The first meeting destroyed everything. After safety checks, cleaning on some 4th gen requires lowering, pulling the trigger, pulling the side tab, and pulling the slide. The firing pin should come forward and reload the slide. Many Glock owners with the same problem. You have to deal with internal safety mechanisms. I wish it was in the manual or someone would tell me. No big deal. Great gun with accuracy and reliability.

45 Glock 21

I just want to point out what a great gun this is. The slide assembly is the silent point. Some guns require keys, some have switches, and some have levers. 45, although it has a relatively thick slide compared to other models. Weight certainly attracts periods. It feels heavier than 19. The trigger pull is normal for a Glock but smooth with a nice click and reset. It was a lot of love to shoot. Big bullet, high but easy to hit and re-target. Again, nice gun. You will not be disappointed.

Hgw Complete Upper For Glock 21 Gen3, Titan Duty Rmr Stainless Slide, 45 Acp Fluted Stainless Barrel

I own and carry a G21 Gen 4 daily and it has never malfunctioned and has always been an accurate shooter. If you are thinking about buying it, you won't regret it. I like the fact that it's a 13 +1 and I have an extra magazine just in case. Because having and not having is better than not having and not having. These include the Glock Model 20 10mm and the Glock Model 21.45 ACP pistols. . Introduced in 1990, the Model 21 in .45 ACP competes with other large caliber pistols in police service. Americans demand more punch from their defensive pistols, and my own opinion on this is four times that of Americans.

The pistol came in handy. Good reliability and accuracy are good selling points. Another advantage is that the magazine holds 13.45 ACP cartridges, giving the pistol a capacity of 14 rounds.

The downside of the pistol is its size. Female shooters with small hands and long fingers often make good use of the Glock 21, but training and a thorough familiarity with the type is necessary. The pistol is large but light enough due to the polymer frame.

Considering the full picture, the Glock packs a substantial firearm into a lightweight package. For example, the original Colt 1911 Government Model of the same caliber weighed 39 ounces. The current service pistol, the 9mm Beretta 92, weighs 35 ounces and holds 15 less effective 9mm cartridges.

Lone Wolf Arms Glock 21 .45 Acp Threaded Barrel, .578x28

Another advantage of Glock is its simplicity. The safe-action design provides only one trigger action to learn, unlike double-action, prime-fire pistols where both double-action and single-action fires must be learned. There are no passive safety devices.

The lever on the trigger is not a true safety device. A fall safety device to prevent inertia from moving the trigger if the pistol is dropped. A Glock safe action trigger is ready when the slide is engaged and pressure is applied when the trigger is pulled. The striker or firing pin is partially cocked at this point. If you continue to squeeze the trigger, the striker will push back and fly against the spring pressure to fire the pistol. As the slide is pulled back, the action is partially fired and the pistol can be fired with another short trigger press.

Glock safe actions are proven to work reliably and provide quick, easy-to-learn triggers. There is no manual safety, but the real safety is between the ears, and Glock shooters should know to keep their fingers off the trigger until they are ready to fire.

45 Glock 21

The Glock Model 21 has proven to be as reliable as other Glock pistols, meaning it lives up to the highest standards of reliability. Compared to other .45 ACP pistols, the Glock Model 21 feels good recoil. Despite its light weight, the polymer frame recoils slightly, and the large grip distributes recoil in the palm of your hand. The Glock Model 21 has one of the lightest recoils.
